Shepler's Landscape & Irrigation
Paid for a new yard, sprinkler system, redo pond, create sidewalk, paid dep of $5600, got nothing, but a broken pond, dirt yard

I was introduced to Walter R Shepler, who came to my house and gave me an estimate on redoing my yard, putting in a sprinkler system, redo my large pond with a waterfall, and use stones that I had already, to make a sidewalk from each side of my pool. I knew that redoing the pond would be expensive and that the equipment for the sprinkler system was also not cheap. I first gave him a $500 dep, then another $500 for the sidewalk and then 4600 for the pond. He came out once and tore my existing working pond completely apart, pulled up all my grass, put in a few pipes for the water system, and didn't come back. The local code enforcement officer talked with him a couple of times and was assured that he would finish the work. I have left him over 200 calls on his cell. At first he promised me he would be back, that his father had a heartattack, etc and I said I would give him some time to get back to Florida and finish the job. After a while, the phone calls were left unanswered, but I could always leave a message. I still call once a month just to let him know that I have not forgotten this, and I will haunt him till I die. I live alone and cannot afford to pay someone to do the work again. My job situation has changed and I can no longer afford the extra money to have sod put in. I had my class reunion at my house and was completely embarrassed that anyone would see my yard (more like a dirt pile). It has been over a year and I still am the embarrassment of the neighborhood. This person that did this, did it to others also, he just used the money from the next job to work on a previous job. I believe he has left the state, so I'm sure there is no hope in seeing Walter Shepler again!!!
