Horrible Contractors / Poor Workmanship / But Good Customer Service

During the building of my condo I was told by a co-worker that the owner was kindof shady, but being an older white guy on the assembly line I figured he was just "whiny." A few things to mention... The original sprinkler company happened to "go bankrupt, " so the sprinkler system blue prints went with it, and also the grass that was put down in a certain area sat out in that "psunami" that we had for three days and it was put in after sitting on a pallet for all three days that it poured and then it smelled horrible for upto two weeks. The grass still is horrible by the way and is always saturated probably due to some other contractor who didn't care when they put the sewer system in.

Anyways... We were told that we could not paint anything until a year because the nail pops and whatnot would be fixed and they would not paint... And that's fine as far as that is concerned. What we weren't told about is that when we went to paint and take off face plates, towel racks, bathroom vents, furnace vents, etc etc that we would find things like bent/stripped/broken screws that would cause a huge issue once you took them off so you could properly paint. The contractors also used flat head/phillips screwdrivers on one thing! Even the blinds weren't even done right, they had screw holes cuz the guys/girls missed etc etc. It is ridiculous! Have some pride in your work people!

Oh, and looking around, there is a light at the top of the stairs that once the bulb burns out you can't fix it unless you straddle the rail/bannister and put on foot on the wall across the stairs while stairing down the stairs. So the fixer guy jumps up there and shows you how it was done. I said no and they said they would put another one in there for fifty bucks as a nuisance fee. The other big issue was that I had a huge crack in my driveway and there are only three to five people having cracks in the entire copmlex of 92 (guess) condos who have this issue and they said they could not fix it and would not fix it!

Anyways that's all I got for ya... When you go over your place with a fine tooth comb be sure to even check for things that will occur when you do go to paint which of course is after the one year warranty... Thanks and have a great day.
