Gary J Hayes Roofing of Eau Claire, Wisconsin was hired on 10/22/07 to remove and apply a new roof to my home. He said he would start later that week. I wrote a check for $3,000 in a good faith advance to secure the job.
After 3-4 weeks of excuses and no-calls. I fired him and informed him I wanted the advance returned. I did not hear from him again.
To Date-4/6/08, no contact or payment has been received. Police have filed a Theft by Contractor felony charge against him. He failed to appear in court. My understanding is that a warrant will be issued on him.
