Are a major headache thomasville doesn't want my business because i want quality cabinets

I ordered Thomasville cabinets through HD back in mid-November, '07. When they arrived 6 weeks later, 2 weeks late, there were 10 of 33 pieces that needed to be resent because of major flaws in finish and wood quality. I was surprized that the installers were not at all shocked that almost 30% of the pieces were being rejected. The replacement order was placed in early January and arrived 5 weeks later after being promised a ten day turn. Again, the replacement cabinets had major flaws. Of the 10 pieces resent, 5 of them were absolute junk.By this time I had the numbers of the Thomasville reps for the area. The day the replacements were rejected, I called the rep numerous times and finally got a call from an assistant saying he could not break away from training that included Home Depot personnel. He said he might be able to call at the end of the day which did sit well with me. I continued to call him wanting to know how this was going to be resolved. Mind you that these pieces were rejected based on flaws we could see. I can only imagine the other issues with raw materials, construction and other factors that would crop up with the poor quality standards.

The Thomasville rep, Peter from Illinois, finally called back and said that I was being unreasonable for expecting this to go any better than it had to date. He thought that my calls were too numerous. I guess he forgot that I have been inconvenienced for three months, not a few hours. He was acting like he was the victim because I wanted some answers about why the quality was so poor.instead of taking responsibility for the problems and trying to correct them, he decided to act as though I was bothering him. He told me that he was cancelling myh order. How backwards is that? I was going to spend $10,000 to have his junk put up in my kitchen. I am glad they do not need my business. I will be shopping for other cabinets. I wish I knew this 3 months ago so I would not have wasted my time with them.

Lesson learned: thomasville has terrible quality products but, more importantly, poor quality people. A very bad combination.

Do not do business with them.
