What part of i already took my machine in and paid for repair do you not understand??? I want compensation besides shampoo to pay for the costs!!!

Dear Ann,

Please take your machine for repair to the Service Center. We are sorry to not be able to assist you again with a replacement machine or warranty repair. The original purchase date places your machine well outside of warranty.

Bissell replaced a machine that was broken (same part) and then the one you replaced broke down within a year (same part - although Bissell considered the warranty period as when the ORIGINAL machine - not the one you replaced - even though it was less than a year old). I HAVE taken the machine in for repair, I just want money or a spart part so when it happens again, I don't have to pay for the part and labor - AGAIN! I even have another spare machine sitting in a box (broken - same part)!!! Because it was almost just as much to buy a new one as it was to fix ANOTHER one i had at the time (same part broken). So that is four that i have had!!! The shampoo isn't going to help in this matter because if the machine keeps breaking, i cannot go use the shampoo anyway. So to make up for all the costs - thats a lot of shampoo - that i don't need or want. NOW what can you do? Is there a supervisor who can help?

Please take your machine for repair. BISSELL has replaced your machine in the past. Outside of warranty, we are happy to send complimentary coupons for shampoo to help offset the cost of out of warranty repair.

OH my goodness. Again, forget about the part!!! Is there ANYTHING Bissell is willing to do??? Read the messages! Then respond accordingly. Of course you would not have parts as you moved your operations to Mexico. Ok, so is there anything ELSE you ccan do? Send me some money, a new machine. Do something; offer something. Sorry but the $18 worth of shampoo just doesn't cut it!

Hmmm - well when one of the many machines I have had broken down in the past, i was able to purchase the part from one of your authorized dealers uninstalled. I later had it installed (time permitting). SOOOO; how about sending me a check for the part? DO SOMETHING other than send me coupon for carpet shampoo! I can't use them if the machine doesn't work...

We are sorry, the part you are requesting is not available through Consumer Services. Certain parts are only available to Authorized Service Centers. These include any parts which are only accessible if the machine is opened. Replacement of these parts should be performed by an individual trained on the internal repairs of the machine. This decision has been made to ensure the safety of our consumers.

Please contact an Authorized Service Center in your area for further assistance with your request or Sears Repair, any local repair shop from your phone directory or sears.com

Wow! I got your $18 worth of coupons. Not even close to covering the $103 it cost me to fix your problem with the steam cleaner... How about sending me a new motor or two so next time it happens, I will save the money on the part...

Thank you for your response. I don't think $85 worth of shampoo is going to help solve the problem for me or Bissell. Obviously this is an issue that you have been having for years. What is being done to fix it. At this point, I want a free steam cleaner. I can send you back the three i have that don't work...

I don't have my records with me but you can look them up to see i have owned several steamcleaners all with the motor that burned out (pump tip breaks off).in 2005 or '06 (i dont have my records in front of me) you replaced a steam cleaner for me.in 11/06, the pump tip broke again, i took it to a service station where you agreed to replace it under warranty. Well it happened again, but because it was not under warranty, you would not replace it. WHEN will this problem be fixed as I am now paying almost half of what it cost me to buy it to have it repaired. When the product works - it works wonderful however I cannot recommend it to anyone since they are faulty.
