Euro-Kitchen, "rangehoodsexpert" On EBay
Blatantly misleading advertising, misrepresentation and lies

Construction & Repair

A warning to all appliance shoppers: this company, Euro-Kitchen.com, a.K.A. "rangehoodsexpert" on eBay, sells its products using TOTALLY misleading advertising.

They're taking items made in China, and advertising them as "Italian" or "European" products. Not "Italian style" or "Italian design", but outright"Italian" or "European".

There is a big difference between a Ferrari made in Italy, and a kit car made in someone's garage. They may LOOK similar, but they don't PERFORM the same. And they don't LAST the same. Identical issue here - these guys are taking cheap Chinese products, and trying to pass them off as high-quality, real European product. Don't fall for it!

NOWHERE on the auction listing, nor on the website, does it say "Made in China". The item is labeled as such, however. Also, if you call them and INSIST on finding out where the actual factory is located, eventually they will admit it.

There is a HUGE difference between appliances made from quality components and high-grade AISI 304 steel, and cheap-o appliances made from God knows what, and encased in steel that will turn yellow in a year.

Now, there's nothing wrong with selling products in different price ranges, but a company that tries to pass itself off as something it's not (and can never be), and whose sales reps lie to their customers, definitely has something to hide, and definitely should be avoided.

If these guys had a good product, they wouldn't need to lie about it.
