Riding lawnmower engine extremely loud!

I own a MURRAY 42in. Riding lawn mower (model 42504x99a) with a TECUMSEH Enduro 17hp overhead valve engine (model OHV17) installed. This is an extremely noisy engine when running at mowing speeds. If you are looking for a quiet running egine, I do not recommend this one.
