Classic bait & switch on senior citizen

Empire today rips of 75 year old. My mother wanted new carpet for the holidays. We shopped around, had measurements taken and was quoted $1840 installed for a nice dupont stainmaster nylon carpet. [$30 a yd.] Alot of money considering her meager $890 a month s.S. Check but she wanted the best seeing that it would be her last carpet. The problem was a 2 week wait. She saw empire today on TV and next day install and she called.

A salesmen showed up the next day we showed him our sample and he measured and said he could give us comperable carpet for $2008 and come tomorrrow. He wrote up a contract [not including any sizes just a style and color]. Empire installed carpet and a year later when she went to have it cleaned ChemClean said they couldn't promise anything because it was low end carpet[polyester] I pulled up a corner and saw that it was not the carpet he showed us but an inferior product.

CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH. I called the company 5 times but no one ever returned my calls. I finally did get a hold of someone but he told me i got what i sighned for. So true but i was RIPPED OFF. I want the carpet promised or my money back.

I will make it my business that Empire Today doesn't sell as much as a throw rug in the pgh. Area.including distributing flyers at the mall. Decorating my car to how Empire Today ripped me off and advertizing in the post gazette, city newspaper and union papers. I GOT THE TIME NOW—I'M RETIRED HAVE A NICE DAY
