After collecting money for commercial appraisal, never did appraisal, or returned calls, and became beligerant when refund was requested

LaMeeka Washington was referred to me by a close friend as a reliable and trustworthy appraiser for my commercial property. After paying $1,000.00 for the appraisal, Ms. Washington never completed the appraisal and has yet to refund the monies paid to her after promising several times to do so.

After requesting the refund due to not completing the appraisal, she then became belligerant and defensive about the service and proceeded with the obvious "run around" tactic of refunding the money promising to do so on several different instances. She spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner and tried to make me feel as though she was doing me a favor.

She was paid for services on June 5 and the appraisal was to have been completed by June 22 but received no appraisal, no return phone calls, and no refund. June 28 finally spoke with her and told her to refund the monies paid to her and her response was that she would call me back. After a week, specifically on July 3 I contacted her yet again and was told she would call me back within an hour, but never did so. To date, July 7, I have not received my money.
