Bad Remodel Job - Was Not Reliable - Definitely not Trustworthy - Ripoff

Just a quick warning. This company does inferior work and absolutley does not stand behind their work. The owner is very smooth, he is one of the BEST liars I have come across in my 60 years!

I am so unhappy with my remodel, I am still trying to fix things myself that should have been done by Karshner Sales.
Very unorganized company, takes too many jobs at a time so no one gets their remodel done in timely manner. The contractors
are never on time or just do not show up when they tell you they will be there. Reason this happens is because they tell everyone the same thing and then they go to the job that has the loudest complaint for the day. I know this for a fact!

Friends of ours had the same amount of remodel work done by a different company, the work was done in half the time it took to do ours. Another friend had an entire home built & had moved in, we were still waiting for our work to be complete!

Don't expect to get what you order or the plans to be exactly what you agreed to. If you call and complain, the owner comes to your home to check the problem and puts on an act that makes you feel sorry for him, part of his SMOOTH demeanor. I am a softey so I settled for the errors rather than have it cost him money to correct the mistakes —DUMB mistake on my part! Some of these were major mistakes too.

There are many good remodel companies, we have many friends
that have remodeled and the work was done in a timely manner and was exactly what they wanted and agreed to with the contractor.

Word to the wise, DON'T be fooled by checking with the Better Business Bureau or NKBA, etc. - companies like Karshner Sales pay a fee to these organizations to be on their list. Go to rip off reports and check out some of the reports on the BBB, what an eye opener that is.

I would have to write a small book to list all the problems, but believe me there are many!

Word to the wise, some companies have their own labor that works exclusivley for the company as Karshners does and some hire sub contractors. Regardless, make sure who ever works in your home, especially the electrician & plumber are certified & most licensed. Also make sure the company has a designer that has a degree in interior design, this makes a HUGE difference
in the options you will be offered.
