Gotitwholesale.com this company sells inferior mailboxes

We purchased a cast metal decorative mailbox from this company for our newly built home in September. We chose their company because my wife scoured the stores and web for a special mailbox to enhance the look of our property. This company boasts that their mailboxes are "durable" and "built to last." BALONEY!

After less than 6 months the hinge on the door broke, and had to be replaced with a chest-type hinge for support. Then we noticed the paint was bubbling and starting to flake off, and the brass address letters tarnishing. We touched up the paint as much as we could and hoped for the best. My wife emailed the company to ask if there was anything more we could do to stop the problems, but got no replies to two emails. Then, the post started to lean, because the screws that are supposed to secure it are no good.

We then had to take it all apart, and add a pole and concrete inside the post to try to make it secure. We got new screws and drilled new holes so it would stay straight and not fall apart, since the post is made in sections.By this time, the paint was REALLY just falling off the box (it's supposed to be powder-coated!) so we had to scrape it All down as best we could, and repaint it AND the red flag, which had faded to orange.
This mailbox was NOT cheap. We paid over $200.00, and got less than 6 months out of it before the problems began.

I would definitely NOT recommend this company to anyone who is looking for what they have to offer. We live in a lovely developement of higher priced homes, and this mailbox is an eyesore. It will need to be replaced within the coming year, but we are trying to at least get SOME of our money's worth out before we trash it. Beware this company. They sell low quality products, and do not answer your concerns!
