On August 3,00 I watched an infomercial on our local channel, channel 6. It was for titanium knives. This offer included a 14pc set of knives and an additional set free, plus a 3pc pot and pan set. $9.95 was listed as the shipping price, for the free set of knives you had to show a neighbor an advertisement about the knives. I placed the order and was quoted a total price of $49.90. About a week later a large box was left inside my garage by UPS. No discernible markings were on the box so I opened it.inside was the 3pc set of pans 2 knife sets, a wooden knife holder and a 9pc. Set of pans. Also included was an invoice for a total of $139.65 deducted from my credit card.
First I called UPS to pick it up... I was told I could take out what I had ordered and UPS would pick up the box and return it free for me and they would arrive at my house the next day at 4pm. I waited and no UPS man came, so I called them and was told someone had given me false info and I needed to contact the company for a shipping tag to send it back to them..
I then contacted the BDI 800# and spoke to one employee, who said they would credit me the cost of the items but only $9.95 for the shipping. I had paid 40 bucks for items I hadn't ordered and since the error was on their part I told them I should get all my money back. The next employee of BDI said ship it back as cheap as you can we do not send out shipping tags and we will reimburse you a portion of it. I shipped it back and it cost $21.34. I am out 60bucks for shipping and have nothing! I feel this company does this on a regular basis, sending people who order extra items because it is so expensive to send them back, that people just keep the items and BDI has the money. The package should arrive tomorrow and I will find out what game these people are playing.
