United roofing/united builders, construction/michael sciubba ripoff took money and did nothing, ducked calls, threatened me

United Roofing and Siding, United Roofing and Construction, United Builders, are the names they go by. Michael Sciubba is the owner and president of this scam company.

I contracted with them in May for an addition on my house for my dying father, who is home ridden and on hospice. The company knew this, and said that they would rush the job through. I gave them an $8000.00 deposit to start. The total job was over $70,000.00, so this didn't seem unreasonable.

I had a start date of Aug. 15 and a finish date of Oct. 10. Needless to say, the start and finish dates came and went. So much for a rush job, now we were crammed in a little house with one bathroom for a family and a sick, dying father.

The company salesman, Bob Leitenberger, (I call him the ripoff tool) came to my house with these elaborate plans which looked great. He told me he needed another $8000.00 to begin the job and would work right through it. I again thought this was reasonable, considering the over $70,000.00 total cost.

After the Oct. 10th finish date passed, I called up to cancel the job and get my money back. The owner, Michael Sciubba, (crack head, this was confirmed by numerous sources) got on the phone and made every excuse in the book. I called him on the excuses he gave, and he got mad and cursed me out.

The salesman (ripoff tool) called me and begged me to stay with the company, telling me he fixed everything. Considering my investment already, I agreed to give them another chance. I signed another agreement with a start date of 10/23/06 and finish date of 12/30/06.

Needles to say, that start date came and went. I again called to cancel, and the next week excavation began by a sub-contractor. The city construction office came and shut the job down due to the company writing them a BAD CHECK for $333.00. Can you believe that, I gave them $16,000.00 and they can't cover $333.00.

So, now I have a half assed foundation that was done incorrect, and am out $16,000.00.

I called and spoke to Michael Sciubba (crack head) and wanted my money back and cancelled this side show. Michael Sciubba (crack head) became enraged and called me curses that would make a convicted killer blush. He also threatened to come and beat me up and mess up my house. He told me he was keeping my money, and I could sue him.

He is practically bankrupt and owes everyone money, including the sub-contractor that did the foundation. The owner of this company, Darryl, told me Michael Sciubba (crack head) owes him back pay for three jobs.

I have since found numerous people that were ripped off by this scam company. This company moves around every so often to avoid creditors, but yet the joke Better Busines Bureau still carries them and lists them.

I want my $16,000.00 back plus aggravation costs. My father's condition is declining and it is doubtful he will see this addition completed.
