Ripoff Didn't finish construction and took $32,000

I contracted Freedom Steel Company in Del Ray Beach, FL to supply me with a metal building for use as an indoor equestrian riding ring. They, in turn, hired CalCo Steel Builders, Inc. To erect the building. Danny Tyson was the head of CalCo Steel.

After CalCo put concrete footings in and started the steel structure, they left the site and never returned. I had given them 1/3 of the total erection costs as a down payment, a check for the concrete, and checks for the next stages of erection. With $32,000 out of the $35,000 total cost, they left.

I just want my money back. I had to spend another $35,000 to get the building finished. I also spent months searching for someone who would complete the building. What was there was built improperly and nobody wanted the liability of the previous work attached to their name. I have been waiting over 13 months for this ring to be built.

I have lost thousands of dollars because people wouldn't board at my barn without an indoor, and because people taking lessons have cancelled due to bad weather. My fledgling business and family have suffered...$32,000 is a lot of money to us.
