AEREX pest control charges a outrageous amount of money ($80 in this case) for what they term a treatment for insects. I just happened to be home on the day they came by and witnessed firsthand what their treatment consists of.

A person, looking incredibly like a high school drop-out (disheveled, tattoos, weird haircut, SMOKING (!), baseball cap, raggedy pants) backed up into my driveway and unrolled a hose. He walked to the back of the house and DOUSED the sides of the house and grass around the perimeter with a water-based solution carelessly over-spraying into a nearby sandbox (8 feet away from the house!).

In less than 90 SECONDS he rolled up the hose and drove away. The next day, the ants returned. I called immediately and was HUNG UP ON by the female secretary who made me seem like my call was truly bothering her and wasting her time. Was she watching TV? Finally I got through to a supervisor (?) and made another appointment. They came out a week later and did the same thing!

The next day the ants returned. I looked closely at the bill I received ($160!) and noticed that they have to list the active solutions in the treatments they use (thank GOD). I noticed that they used the product with the LEAST power for treating ants. I went online and found the product on their receipt which had the strongest solution and sprtayed outside by the place where the ants were coming in from. For $12 I solved the problem by myself! Not another ant has been seen since.

I have since seen the same product at a local HOME center for around $12. Do yourself a favor: do it yourself and do NOT give your money to this company let them smother in their own greed.
