Ripoff deposit no work can not contact took money and ran

Some 6 months ago we contracted with Trubro Construction an addition on our home, a deposit of over $4600.00 dollars was given on a $30,600 dollar job and a contract with guarantee was signed. Construction was delayed because of permits. We worked with Joseph Truglia in resolving these problems. We where also Contacted by Phillp (Joesph's Forman) and he informed us of what steps we needed to take.

Once these issues where resolved we attempted to contact Trubro Construction, Phillp, and Joseph will no results. It has been over 3 months with out communication. Trubro Constructions phone number is not working, the fax number goes to a residence that has no idea who Trubro Construction is and states that this is a new number, Phillip will not return any phone calls, no emails have been returned, and the web site and domain are LOCKED.

We have done extensive investigating and have found much information to suspect that Trubro Construction has purposely dropped all communication. This would indicate that a fraud/breach of contract case may be imminent. At this time we request that our deposit be immediately returned. I have read that the government is empowered to prosecute criminal matters (e.G., when a contractor accepts a deposit, then disappears without doing the work) but have found no real action taken so far by any of the Consumer Affair offices on the local and State level that I have contacted. I have filed with the BBB, Ocean County Consumer Affairs, Monmouth County Consumer Affairs, NJ Consumer Affairs, and NJ attorney general.
Ocean County Consumer Affairs was prompt but since the offender lives in Monmouth County NJ they are trying to get Monmouth County Consumer Affairs to cooridante with them with little success.
