Ripoff $5000. Won't refund deposit. False advertising on Models!

Trend Homes refuses a refund of our deposit even though we cancelled the purchase before home was started.in fact there were still storage containers on the lot. They are using a bogus loan preapproval based on us renting out our current home which is not realistic due to location and size of home to refuse the refund.

We told them we could not afford to buy the home without selling our current which we found out we could not do for another year due to tax consequences. We cancelled the sale as soon as we found out about the tax problem. This was well before any work was started.

They also employ false advertising when showing models. Prices are given on the model, but no addendeum is shown to reveal the true cost of the model as it sits which is tens of thousands of dollars higher.

This gives potential home buyers an unrealistic view of what to expect for the price quoted. This is illegal in the automobile market.
