We hired Rainproof to replace our 22 year old roof in the summer of 2005 on a referral. Their bid was inline (about $5,000) and they could start the next day.

The old roof did not leak. The new one did. Several downpours resulted in leaks around a skylight which led to repeated floor and wall damage. It took constant harassing to get anyone to come look at it. After two visits, the problem was not fixed.

We got their warranty company involved and after many more phone calls (none of which were returned, a guy would just show up without notice) the leak was stemmed. All they were doing each time wa applying caulking or another sealant. I have no idea how "permanent" this "repair" will be.

With their warranty company on their backs now, Rainproof agreed to pay for the floor and wall repair (about $2,000), but after 3 months, they still have not sent the agreed upon installment to the floor contractors or painters. It has been 14 months (June to August) now. They never pick up when we call from home (caller ID I assume) but pick up quickly if we use another phone. Let me repeat that: in all the 100s of phone calls we have put in to them, they have called us back exactly once.
