You cannot buy a home for $600.00 a month, period

We received a flyer in the mail about purchasing a home for $595.00 a month, no money down. Each time we call and schedule an appointment LGI says that we can only come to their offices and speak monetary figures. "There is no one at the homes and there are no model homes there, just homes for sale", stated one salesperson.

One time that we called, they said that we could cetainly purchase a home and that they would be glad to show us around. The next time the price of the homes had drastically increased to well over $1,000 a month. On todays occasion of calling I asked the salesperson what time I could come in.

She interrupted me and said "what is your income, you and your husband combined?" I told her... (and our budget is good enough, if you STICK TO YOUR ADVERTISEMENT) she said that we "need not waste our gas because we definately can't afford their homes".

I believe that they are running some kind of scam; which preys upon young apartment dwellers. They still have their ads running and their billboards for $595.00 a month, no money down everywhere. As stated in the aforementioned paragraph. They will advertise that there is no money down. Well that's a lie! Because they told my fiance they needed $500.00 for a "proof of financial responsibility" fee. That right there is a deposit.
