Starving Students
Complete ripoff / zero responsiveness / detroyed property

My story starts almost a year ago... And its still going on. We moved locally, within Los Angeles. We asked for an estimate but were told they didn't give them. They gave us a rough estimate of $1200 for our 2 Bdrm apt. We packed the majority of our belongings to speed along the process and lessen the cost. On the day of the move, they arrived late at the house, dawdled most of the day, moving at a snails pace, and by 10PM were finally beginning to load the truck.By 2AM we made the decision to stop loading, take only the few necessities we needed to sleep and they would return the next day to finish loading, and bring the rest of our belongings. Neeless to say, it cost twice their estimate. It cost more than a move we had done less than a year prior from San Francisco to Los Angeles, we had nearly the exact same belongings, and that moving company packed it all.
Then, the continuing saga is that they destroyed a bookshelf and dresser by dropping them so hard they shattered. We called immediately to have an adjuster come to our house to see the items. We filed the proper forms. We followed up, sent the forms again. The adjuster came again. We follow up periodically with the company and are continually told that it is in process, the forms need to be faxed to wherever, blah, blah, blah, etc... I still have a completely useless dresser sitting in my bedroom. I can't throw it away for fear that they'll come back and want to see it again... But I also think I'll die before I see any money from this bunch of theives.
