Home warranty scam, company will not fix A/C unit covered by warranty ripoff

We have been trying to get our air conditioning fixed for a month by this company. They sent out a contractor one month ago whose company has had its license suspended by the Registrar of Contractors. That contractor did a temporary fix and lead us to believe that the warranty company needed to order a coil in order to finish the repair.

After waiting several weeks the a/c quit again and they are now giving us the run around saying that they have the part and are unable to get someone out to fix the unit. Everyday they have told us that they are looking for someone and never call us back. They also told us that we could look for our own contractor as long as they call for authorization prior to doing any work.

When we found a contractor that was willing to come out, he called to get authorization and was told we have to pay him everything upfront, out of our pockets, and "try to get reimbursed". This is the middle of summer in Arizona and we have no a/c and have no idea when or if they are actually going to fix the problem.

We feel that they are trying to stretch this out long enough so that we give up and pay for everything ourselves. It is inhumane to expect people to live in such conditions.
