Ripoff

Air conditioning went out 4/20/06. Called First American and they said they would call and have a repair person get in touch with me within 24hrs. First company they called never showed up. On 5/22/06 they sent Bama heating and cooling out. Repair man was kept on hold so long waiting on an authorization code that his battery went dead in his phone. He waited 1 1/2 hours for an authorization code. 6 hours after he left the air quit working. Called First American back... They said that the coils were dirty and that was not covered. We argued that the repair man said that just to see if he could get paid for the service. We called Bama heating and cooling back, but they refused to come back out unless we paid them. They did not want to deal with First American.

We called fist American back to send out another repair person as the job was not completed. They could not find another repair person in the area. Sara at ex2910 said that if we paid out of pocket they would reimburse us. We called Page Brothers heating and cooling. He came out within 30 mins of the call. He ordered the part and installed it on 6/2/06. We paid the bill which came to 360.00 and faxed the statement to First American.
As of 6/23/06 still had not recieved a check. Spoke to Ulluvia at ex# 2369. She needed to talk to Fred Page to see why the part had to be replaced. He had to fax a statement that said we paid it in full. Ulluvia said that as soon as she recieved the fax a check would be issued. Called today and was told that it was submitted to accounting on 6/23/06, but they could not tell me if a check had been mailed out yet. Asked to speak to someone in accounting and was told that customers were not allowed to be transfered to accounting and they could not give a phone number out so I could dial direct.

This company rates way below average on customer service.
We will take our business somewhere else.
