Ripoff intentionally deceptive advertising

Roll n Grow uses deceptive ad's to scam consumers into thinking they are getting twice the amount of product... Similar to a buy one get one free, but that's not what you end up receiving.

The ad goes something like this:

1000 seeds of flowers buried in 10 Sq feet of biodegradable cloth that you just roll out in your yard and water. It specifically says that 1000 seeds will cover 10 Sq feet.

Then the ad says that they are doing a special and if you place your order they will give you 1000 more seeds. And it specifically says this will add even more color to your garden. The commercial shows a lady with flower pots around her and all the sudden the number of flower pots double. (as if to say you'll get twice as much coverage without actually saying those words).

When I placed the order, I was shocked to find that the shipping and handling for each 10 foot roll was $7.95. I definitely thought that was excessive but after thinking about it I was thinking I would get twice as many boxes for that amount I went ahead and placed the order. And I paid an extra $4 for expedited shipping.

The company didn't charge my credit card for 3 weeks and then it took another week to receive my package. Gee if that is expedited, what's regular delivery? By Christmas?

What I received was 4 dinky boxes for $113. No invoice of any kind was included.

When I called, they explained to me that I was not to get buy 1 get one free (buy one roll of 1000 seeds, get another for free) but rather that I was just getting 1000 more seeds in the existing roll. (2000 seeds, still only 10 sq foot roll.)

My question is this: if they say 1000 seeds covers 10 square feet, why on earth would I want 2000 seeds to cover the same area???

I feel incredibly stupid and gullable right now. I am a smart person, but I really felt that they were intentionally being deceptive and it's an unfair business practice.
