Will not honor warranty, fix problems with house, Ripoff

This company, if you want to call it that claims to build quality homes for less money. After moving in I found out just how they do it. The materials used to build a Maplecrest home are of very poor quality and the installers of these materials have no respect for the home as a finished product.

I purchased a Maplecrest home in Poplar Grove in Nov. Of 2005. Here in West Grove off Rt. 76, EVERY home has many problems.

Here are some of mine,

Roof leaks, front door not sealed, interior doors don't latch shut, kitchen counters pulled 1/4 inch from walls, dishwasher malfunctions, ductwork pops constantly, drywall cracking, bedroom windows malfunction, entire front of house leaks in the rain, garage floods when it rains, basement has many cracks in walls that leak in rain, basement floor never dries in certain spots, basement floor has giant holes and cracks everywhere because the floor was poured in the rain, backyards turn into swamps for several days after it rains and children can't play, shower head leaks behind drywall, floors are uneven under the carpet (you feel like a drunk trying to walk in your own house), plaster on every wall and ceiling making it impossible to use wallpaper or boarders, walls are bowed when they should be staight, and many more.

When you call Maplecrest to ask them to come fix these problems you may have the pleasure of speaking to a live demon named Amber. She WILL be rude to you and make feel like the problems you have are your fault. She WILL not act quickly to have your matters resolved. And if you are lucky enough to have someone come out to your house to fix the problems, here are some examples of what you can expect; contractors so up without tools and ask to barrow yours, they see your problem and tell YOU how to fix it, they will show up to fix something and leave without fixing anything, they will tell you "we'll be back tomarrow" and never return, if you have multiple problems they will fix some and not others and then leave without notification.

I had contactors sent by Amber come to my house and start banging around the outside of the house without even ringing the bell first to tell me they were here and why. Then when they were done, they didn't even come tell me that they were done, they just left without notice on 3 separate occasions.

They destroyed the outside of my house with silicone sealant around every window and door frame. When the basement leaked for the first time, they patched the crack and only 1 month later, that same patch is leaking and they wont fix it.

Many people on this web site have said "buyer beware". I strongly disagree! I would like to start a new phrase, "Buyer buy elsewhere!" If you are in the market for a new home, watch out for these names, Maplecrest, Country Homes, Contarino, and Petry!
