Ripoff, Deception, no refund, no delivery, no resolution

I have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars at my local Home Depot. Unfortunately, I will NEVER go back. Most recently, I ordered some concrete, concrete block and ceiling tile which was all in-stock.

To start out my order, I had to wait no less than 10 minutes while the clerk yapped away on the phone about her children. Finally she meandered her way over to us. She was not properly trained on how to use the computer so I had to run all around the store to get the sku numbers for the merchandise I wanted to buy.

Then, she argued with me for several minutes about whether or not they actually stocked one of the items I wanted. I told her repeatedly that they did indeed carry them, and that I had just been looking right at them. Finally, in a huff, I went back and got the sku and item number for her.

Then, we set about the arduous task of getting the delivery set up. I gave her my address for delivery, it's a rural route. I spent another several minutes arguing with her about whether or not my address was a PO Box.

Finally, she processed delivery and yelled to the delivery guy that he needed to deliver ours to a PO Box! So of course I yelled to the delivery guy that it is NOT a PO Box. We paid for our order, was told it would be delivered by Thursday.

Thursday came and went. Friday afternoon, I got a phone call from the delivery guy asking if we were still on for Monday. I said "still on?" This is the first I heard of this. I told him I thought it was supposed to be here on Thursday, and quite rudely was told it would be Monday.

So, we called the store. We were told someone had changed the delivery date, but they didn't know who. We asked to just have our money refunded. They said store policy only allowed them to refund my money as a store credit. Like I want to be bound and tied to spending my money in their hateful store.

About six months ago I ordered kitchen cabinets and appliances to be delivered from them, and about 8 weeks later, they still didn't have all my stuff in and didn't even have a delivery date. We went round and round with them then, so much so that the store manager knows us by name, so I am stunned that they would pull this again. Yes, the store is too big to care about the consumer and there is little or no recourse against them.
