Online Furniture Store ripoff for returned furniture, kept a 55% restocking fee instead of 15% Corona California Internet

Bought vanity set in Dec. 05, was not the correct color and was too large, immediately informed company of return. Set was delivered on 12/16 and 12/17 I informed Heather that I needed to return the item. She stated there would be a 15% restocking fee and $45 s/h to send back.

I asked for the address to send back and that I'd pay the restocking and that's when she started putting me off by offering discounts to keep the furniture. Everytime I tried to get the return information, all she did was offer more of a discount. The holidays went by and I was on vacation in Janaury and still received no information from her on how to return the item. The box had barely been opened, just enough that I could tell it was ivory and not off white as the picture and description suggested.

I contacted her again in February to get the return information and her statement then was that it had been too long and that I could not return it. I wrote her back saying I was filing an Executive Complaint and wanted to speak to a supervisor. She said she'd check and again, didn't get back to me in a timely fashion. I wrote again asking when a manager would contact me and again all she would do was offer more of a discount to keep it.

So I decided to send it back to the Powell Furniture Company, where it came from according to the invoice and address on the box. I informed Heather it was sent and that I expected a full refund due to the total lack of customer service. I paid $229 and now I see a credit for $149.42.15% would have been $34.35 NOT $124.81. Since they have put me through so much stress and have handled this whole situation so poorly, I want a full refund of the $124.81 difference.

I will NEVER purchase anything from this company again and will spread the word as much as possible on the internet. I order almost everything online and I have NEVER had an experience like this!
