Madison Homebuilders
Poor workmanship / failure to complete warranty repairs

Construction & Repair

Madison Homebuilders completed work on my new home in Feb. 2005. Prior to closing I expressed concern about some issues with the site manager. He advised not to worry that the problems would be addressed. After closing we found numerous other problems and contacted the site manager. After numerous calls and faxes he came to the residence to discuss the problems. Several weeks later he sent a work crew to work on some of the problems. Problems included cracks in the sheet rock, floors buldging, cracks in trim work, caulk cracking or seperating from surfaces, nails popping through the sheet rock, loose shingles, a water leak in a bathroom and numerous other problems. The crew came and addressed mainly cosmetic issues.

Since that time the same issues have recurred and others have evolved. The site manager has been contacted numerous times and always has an excuse for delay in getting repairs done.

Recently a buldging kitchen floor was worked on but still shows signs of problems. Cracks in the sheetrock return shortly after being repaired.

Each time the site manager is contacted his response is that he was just thinking that he needed to call me, but never does, and the needed repairs from a year ago are still waiting to be fixed. Even though the first year warranty has expired without the repairs being completed he says he will get to them.
