Unprofessional results and service, Abandoned job before completion Ripoff Fort Worth

Dawn Washington, owner of Dawn's By Design, walked out on a contracted job on December 13 which she has already been paid for. She was contracted to apply a glazed finish to 3 rooms of my house. She completed one room to my satisfaction. The other 2 rooms she did not complete to my satisfaction.

The fact that disappoints me the most is that instead of working in good faith to resolve our issues, she unilaterally decided that abandoning the job was in HER best interest. She walked out with 66% of the job unfinished and my concerns unresolved.

Her conduct while she was on the job was unprofessional... At best. She became extremely emotional and argumentative with my wife on numerous occasions and complained that she 'lost money on the job'. Despite the fact that nobody placed one ounce of glaze on our walls EXCEPT Dawn and her colleague, she refused to accept responsibility for the work she had performed.

I have hired hundreds of contractors in the past 15 years and have to say that this has been the most unique and baffling experience I've ever had. Not once has anybody accepted payment for goods and services and abandoned a job in mid-stream. Ever.

I'm left with the feeling as if I've taken my car into the shop and paid to get 4 new tires installed - only to have the mechanic tell me he could only install one and walk away; leaving me to drive home without 3 tires.

I'm now faced with spending this holiday season searching for another contractor to repair and finish the job which Dawn abandoned.

Life could be alot worse, but it's unfortunate I've spent hard-earned money to receive such unprofessional results and service.
