On August 13 we ordered an entire living room of furniture from Ashley Furniture Homestore in Mesa, AZ. We were repeatedly told delivery would be 4-6 weeks. The sales person even stated without our prompting that it would be closer to 4 weeks. After waiting 7 weeks, we contacted the store, asking for the manager. We left 3 unreturned messages for Renee, the Store Manager. We sent emails to the corporate office trying anything to find out about our furniture order. The emails were answered with the standard answer: "Each store is independently owned, we would have to contact the store directl." We then tried to reach Customer Service at 602-442-7800. We left messages that were never returned. On the third attempt to reach Customer Service we spoke with a person who indicated we had an estimated delivery time of October 14-21st. This is far greater than the " 4-6 weeks". We waited, and waited. On November 3rd I was finally successful in getting to speak with Renee at the store. She acted concerned (sure) she was able to determine that our order was scheduled to "hit" the local werehouse the next day! Amazing no one else could tell us that. Delivery called on Nov 4th and setup delivery for Nov 14th. I received a call the morning of delivery from Ashley's werehouse that one piece, a Server, did not "meet manufacturer's specs" and had to be reordered. I was assured the rest of my order would be at my house that day. I took time from my job and went home to wait. The delivery truck showed up... Not only missing the server, but two other pieces to a wall unit as well. They had no clue where the rest of my order was. I received two sofa's (both damaged), two end tables and two pieces to a four piece wall unit. I made several calls to the Customer Service Center only to receive recordings to leave messages. A message was returned to my home even though I had left my cell phone number as I had to return to work. Today I reached customer service and was told they could not give me an estimate on the 3 missing pieces until tomorrow. The two sofa's that are damaged can't be scheduled to be even looked at for repair until Dec. 27th. This is a nightmare that will never end. Ashley offers no customer service to speak of, poor communciation, poor quality and extremely bad business practice that boarders on fraud. I urge anyone reading this to NOT purchase even a vase from Ashley.
