Paid in full, company didn't come back to finish job or return phone calls, ripoff

We paid the company installments as he did the job. Twards the end, he wanted payment in full, so we did trusting that he would come back to finish the job. As the summer crept up on us, we kept calling him to finish the instalation of the upstairs air unit. He didn't call us back and we kept leaving messages, so we had to hire another company to finish the job Controlled Air Design never finished. Now, all we want is the payment for hiring another company.
