Misconduct, unprofessional, misrepresentation, ripoff

I am trying to write this report short and clear! We found a house of dream on Foxtons website and visited the house (we were actually about to drive by the house first, but the seller spotted us and started to talk to us. We were a bit surprised that a seller was really eager to show everything in the house by themselve.

Since we ourselve had an experience in selling a property in the past, we let our sellers agent to conduct regular showing and open house. We did not have to speak to prospective buyers. The seller listed with Foxtons told that people made appointments did not show up, and they had not had descent offers so far (the house has been on the market more than a month.)

Properties in this particular area is selling fast so we were puzzled. We sat down with our agent and made an offer. The seller counter-offered, not much lower than the original price. We did submit another offer... Then... The seller's agent did disappearing act on us. No phone calls returns, the office people said incomprehensive stuff about why the agent did not call us back.

10 calls 20 calls were made to the agent and the office. No calls. No wonder the seller looked bit desparate when they showed the house since nobody was able to reach the agent. The seller was one of them. They did not have a proper representation of their house, no prospective buyers come by.

Today we read so many stories about the company on the internet and made up our mind that unless the seller breach the contract with them, we are not going to buy the house. The seller did try to sell their house by listing on For sale by owner but no success... So they used Foxtons... MISTAKE!

We have the seller's contact number. We will have to tell them bout Foxtons (ofcourse this is our opinion only). The horror we read so far is all too familiar to us already. We are saved by usacomplaints.com!

UNDER STAFFED, UNPROFESSIONAL, NOT TRUST WORTHY FOXTONS is a menace to the society.
