Ripoff, What a Joke!

I saw a billboard in the metro Phoenix area advertising competitive bidding for your new swimming pool. I contacted the company online and was requested to fill out a reasonably long survey including the type of pool I was seeking, dimensions of the yard, urgency, etc.

Upon completion, I was notified via email that i would be contacted within a few days with a couple of qualified contractors to bid on my pool. A few days later I was contacted by POOLBIDS.com and provided with an appointment date/time for the contractor DESERT TROPICS POOLS to come to my home to give me a bid.

On the appointed date and time, Saturday morning at 10 A.M. - no show by the contractor. I waited 30 minutes and called POOLBIDS.com. I was told by POOLBIDS.com that this is a typical problem with these types of contractors and they instructed me to call the contractor to find out why he didn't show.

I have left 2 messages for the contractor and have not even received the courtesy of a reply. No answer period.
I would not recommend using these firms to build a birdbath. What a waste of time. Next time I'll know better. Steer clear of poolbids.com as well as desert tropics pools.
