Burgess Mobile Homes ripoff shoddy setup poor customer service

We purchased our Fleetwood home from Paul burgess jr in the summer of '04. After giving us the run around on the delivery date for almost 2 months, He finally called on a friday to tell us delivery would be on Monday. My husband went to the bank on Monday to pick up the loan check, the bank said there was a 3 day wait on the check, it would be ready friday, but since we had already paid Mr. Burgess $12,000 cash we didnt expect that to be a problem sisnce he had already talked to the bank and was assured that the check was already for him, there was just a standard wait period.

Mr. Burgess brought our home to the property and just left it in 2 pieces know that hurricane Ivan was expected on Thursday, he said when i get the rest of my money, we will put it together. The hurricane hit, there was some damage to the walls that were still wrapped in plastic.

Friday comes, they made sure to make the drive to pick up their check, but waited another week to put my home together. Since then it has been a big run around, they will not fix the damage left by the setup crew, my front doo has never shut proper, the carpet was cut short etc... Mr. Burgess has our number but he calls my mother in law and leaves messages, he wont talk to us.

He has been reported to Fleetwood, but he doesnt care about his customers. For $60,000 i just expected alot better. Did I mention they broke the trusses in the ceiling smacking a tree in rout and closed the roof anyway?

Mr. Burgess, I would like to see you move your family into a home in this shape. Shame on you. I wouldnt buy a dog house from this company.
