When Claudia from California Homes Realty came out to list our home that we were selling almost everything she told us to win our confidence over was a lie. From the very beginning of our first dealings with California Homes Realty through the final close of escrow it seemed like we had been scammed by them for the following reasons. Almost everything we were told from the beginning by Claudia was either untrue or an out and out lie.

1. Claudia stated that it was her company, which it is not her husband Dan is the broker of record.

2. Claudia promised they would help us market our home, which they did not do as promised the ad the placed for us contained erroneous information which we asked them to more than a half of dozen times and still never to the day were able to successfully have them make corrections.

3. We ended up placing ads ourselves in several major news papers because people were calling us and asking us about our home based on the incorrect information from the Ad that California Homes Realty had placed and potential buyers were becoming upset with us, in fact one accused us of false advertising and marketing and threatened to sue us.

4. We're not even sure where to begin continuing to list the hollow promises that were made to us by California Homes Realty by Claudia, and when we called the broker of record Dan Caudle to point out and question him on certain problems he simply double talked, as Claudia did on so many different occasions and led us in circles with more false reassurance that they were indeed taking good care of us and how they were doing everything they could to properly market our home and act in our best interest.

The statement Dan made during several phone conversations about acting in our best interest in completely untrue, in fact they did just exactly the opposite and attempted to use our circumstances against us, they even mentioned the fact that we could be sued by not honoring their listing agreement which was a contractual agreement as Dan put it, even though they never honored it from the beginning, this is very unethical and this husband and wife team are truly pulling what we consider to be a sting operation on unknowing and nave consumers.

5. Why do we say this, because their contract and listing agreement obviously isn't worth the paper it's written on if they do not honor its terms themselves. Or if they falsely represent themselves some how which they did. California has considerably restrictive codes of conduct and rules and responsibilities for Real Estate Companies. We recommend going to the state agencies for accountability instead of the local real estate associations if any, sometimes they are either a little soft, more lenient or even bias in favor of the agencies if they are getting good kick backs or contributions from them etc.

6. We are considering filing a class action against this firm and during the course of the past year and possibly for as long as an additional year we are attempting to seek out consumers, customers and victims of Claudia and Dan Caudle at California Homes Realty. If we are successful in doing so, we may be able to have their license status revoked and win a major lawsuit against them as individuals.

Companies like California Homes Realty are helping to upset the balance of a healthy economy in California by literally ripping people off and attempting a form of legalized robbery, they can be stopped if people are a aware and take the proper steps. We suggest if you signed a listing agreement with them and they did not do what they promised, you take them to court and ask for your money to be returned for any commissions they may have collected by commission through the sale of your home. Explain clearly what your experience was with them from the start to the end to a Judge and if it has been anything like our personal experience with them, there is a good chance you will get some or all of your money returned and possibly even some additional for damages.

7. Never do business with a realtor that you do not know, its literally worse than going to a mechanic you don't know or have any good references for. Always get at least one or more references from someone you personally know who has had or knows someone who has had a positive experience with a realtor.

8. If your like us and you feel like you have been completely taken advantage of or taken in by this expert con-artist husband and wife team Dan, & Claudia Caudle of California Homes Realty located at 4401 CAPITOLA RD., SUITE 4 CAPITOLA, CA 95010 please take a stand truly unethical companies such as theirs seriously harm the economy and chances for a healthy state economy in California.

9. Consider all of your recourse and options file a state complaint with the board of realty, file complaints with the district attorneys office, consumer affairs, etc. Good Luck and beware of shady smiling people who make every promise they can to get you to sign a listing agreement with them and then not come through with any of their promises but still take a very large sum of money from you when your home ultimately sells, irregardless of what role they played in the sale if any.
