Maurice Villency Furniture Store Has Dishonest Sales People, take 3 Months To Have The Money Back ripoff! Dishonesty of the sales person who refuse to return our money, rude manager approach

It seems unfortunate that we all are getting into rip-off when we decorating our houses and buying furniture. This is our story. After a 6 month of searching for a furniture nothing seems satisfying our needs, we had no choice but to increase our budget and try our luck in a very expensive furniture store of Maurice Villency, Paramus, NJ. Right at the beginning showroom blinded us by the great selection and a very tasteful way of putting the room together.

If you don't have any experience how to select or buy a good piece for your house you will start to believe their sales people that their furniture is very exclusive and the prices are more costly, but "hey guys you will be happy and that's all what it's matters! When we calm our self of excitement of possible future buy, I set on sofa and accidentally saw piece of furniture that I just saw few days ago while shopping for furniture, that particular store was in Paramus as well. I have a habit of making notes of the pieces I saw and their price.

So I have found the label of that piece and compared with my notes and have discovered that Villency are selling the same sofa and the matching chair for 2,000$ more, chair was priced for 400$ more, the same think happen with a wall unit, few floor lamps, writing desk and on.

I was a bit upset of co. Cheating me as a costumer, but we liked some of the pieces and decided to put a deposit for a few items. Nevertheless, we were not sure about the colors so we decided to come back the next Saturday. After a day or two we decided to look around for different pieces, our house needs. The showroom we went to had mostly the same furniture and the price was much better. Well as normal working couple we decided that savings of 3,000$ for the same furniture sound better for us than the rip off of Villen cy.

Therefore, I called our sales women and asked her to return our deposit. Suddenly she became very rude even do the store policy says that all deposits are refundable and began to tell me how disappointed she was that we are not buying anything from her. She got me very upset and abused me. I had insisted of returning our deposit. She promised to do so. After 2 weeks, my husband stated to me that money is not there yet. I had to call her again and again I asked her to credit our card back. This time she said to me that she have no authority to do that, when the first time she said no problem I will do it right away. Next think she said that in addition, we have to call ourselves to the main office and then she hand up. Well we did call main office.

The main office promise to take care of our issue right away. However, we have waited for another month and it was no credit. My husband and I went into showroom. As soon as our sales women saw us, she run into the manager's office and the show for us began. After 15 min of waiting the manager came out. You should really see the guy, he was a huge build, wearing not clean cloth, and the smell was awful. Anyway, this guy came very close to my husband face and very rudely said that he will return his money tomorrow. I have no idea why he had to be rude and I have no idea why our money was sitting somewhere. This time my husband and me ask for a proof that credit will be issued, but manager was a full of himself and he went into a huge dispute.

He told us that if we do not leave now he would call to the police. Well at that point, my husband pick up his cell phone and called to the police himself. When the police came, they are filed the report promising to us that our money will be in our account in week. Nevertheless, after two weeks of waiting we still do not have the money back. Who know when we will be with this situation now if someone not advised me to write the story to the local press and sent the copy of my letter to the main office of Villency. I did that and the next day my husband received the phone call from the main office with apologies and our money was credited to us the same day and not 3 months ago.

The co got scared if a lot of people will find what happen to us and they returned our money back, but the aggravation and abuse we had to go trough made me to write this letter. Happy news one of the newspapers agreed to publish our story next month.
