Monroeville PA. Order of counter top

We ordered our kitchen countertop. Paid in full. The company that supplies the counter came out to do the templet. He tells me that he's putting a backsplash on the counter. We didnt want a backsplash and specified that at the time of ordering. I only found out about the backsplash because my wall is crooked and he told me he had to make an additional cut to fill in the backsplash. That's when my mouth dropped and was like, I don't want a backsplash. He says its on here that you do. I said, is this going to cost me more or less since I don't want one. He says I have to talk to lowes about that. Then he looks at the other paper and make a grunting sound... This is pre ordered, now we have to start all over. I said this better not cost me anything. He says lowes has to make up the diff on materials. Low and behold I have a voice mail from some lady at lowes saying there is an additional expense for the backsplash. My husband calls her back and after a 4 min chat about the backsplash issue, she says it not the backsplash, that its for an additional miter cut. But couldn't tell us where the cut is and for what. My husband got upset and said he wanted to talk to her manager. She said she'll leave him a message to call us. 2, I repeat... 2 weeks later she calls me asking me to pay the diff so I can get my counter top sooner than later. I said your manager called my husband and said he's still working on getting us the answer and waiting for another answer on cutting the holes for our faucet. This woman knew nothing about this and wouldn't let me get a word in edge wise unless I yelled at her to stop talking. We never should've went through lowes. I truly regret ordering with them and am trying to get my money back and go to Home Depot. Oh, I ended up hanging up on that woman and refuse to talk to them any more! Never again! Stay away from lowes when you have to order and prepay for your item!
