We contacted Sears Home Repair to provide an estimate for Kitchen Counter Tops. The representative came out, and was very professional. He then provided his estimate, and offer a discount if we agreed to get started that day. We declined. He then asked %u201Cdid we receive any other estimates? %u201D We answered %u201Cyes%u201D. He then wanted to know%u201D how did his estimate compare to the other we received%u201D? Sears was twice as expensive as 2 estimates we received, and 3 times higher than a 3rd estimate. A few days later, Sears contacted us again, and asked %u201Cif we decided to let Sears do the work%u201D? We answered%u201D No.%u201D Then the Sears caller claimed %u201CGood News we can discount the price lower than before%u201D. Of course, by now, the original representative had already informed Sears that their price was too high, now they are making an attempt to provide reasonable prices. I now say to Sears %u201Ctoo little, too late%u201D you should give your best prices, offer, and deals first. Sears should not attempt to price gouge, and then reduce the price when they already know it%u2019s too high.
