A year ago I bought a really nice Sears garage door opener for about $185. Lots of bells and whistles like remote operation via the internet. The door has quit closing using the remotes and must be closed by holding a button down. I paid $75 for a service call to find out it was either an rpm sensor or the circuit board. Neither was on the truck. The parts are under warranty, but they will charge me another $129 for bringing them out and installing them. From what I read on the web, this is a common problem. So I'll be out more than the original cost of the unit on repairs (or is that spelled ripoff) after less than a year of service. Probably the last thing I'll buy from Sears!
