Ripoff

When I moved into my house over a year ago, I discovered before we could actually move in that a root needed to be removed from the pipes... I called Roto-Rooter whom I had heard was best in the business... The plumber came out it was 3:00 pm and he started tellin me I needed a clean out system installed which I didnt realize I NEVER needed until after he had left... Being a woman whom doesnt know about plumbing I figured the man knew what he was talkin bout soo I allowed him to install it cuz otherwise he supposedly could not remove the root without an installation of a clean out system. He didnt seem to know what he was doing took him an aweful long time to remove that root...

The closer it got to 5pm the speeder he got b/c he said he was ready to get home... I had agreed to do their payment plan which is pay half up front & the other half in 30 days. I wrote him a check and he left... We left for the beach for a week this was 3 weeks after the root had been "removed"... I came home to a stopped up toliet again and had a friend come out that had a pipe snake and he ran it down the pipes to hit only solid root!!! I called roto rooter and told them I wanted someone to come out immediatly b/c this was ridiculous I paid that guy 475 dollars to install a clean out and remove the root... They would tell me they were sending someone and then call back later and tell me until I paid the rest of the payment they wouldnt send anyone...

Then I was told in 3 weeks I had passed the warrenty and THEN I was told they would send someone out but it would cost me... I told them to forget it and called a plumber in shelby that charged 95 dollars he came out within 30 min. Had removed the root and a year later Ive had not one problem!!! I tried my best to get a refund from them and never happend they still call me at home, cell, and work harrassing me for payment... I turned them into better business bureau only for them to tell them I wrote them a bad check and went past my warrenty soo BBB wouldnt help me and the local news team wouldnt either...

I dont care anymore its over now and its in the past but Im posting today to warn anyone if you need plumbing done call someone besides roto-rooter... B/c they wont get the job done & they wont help u out if they mess up!!! Not to bash all rotorooters some of them may be good people and do the right job but I think the people I dealt with were shady & scam artist!!!
