Lousy computer battery life

Hi,
I purchased a N61JQ model. I am ABSOLUTELY disappointed with the battery life.
I get 1 1/2 hrs tops with only surfing or doing spreadsheets etc! That is unbelievable for a unit of this caliber and costs.
