Motherboard Failed Twice in Two Years and Warranty Refused

I purchased HP Pavilion dv2000 for my home use. One year after my screen went bad and they had to replace the motherboard to get the problem fixed. One year later I am experiencing the same problem again. HP is not willing to fix it as the warranty has run out. My complaint is how bad is the product that they had to fix the problem twice in the course of two years? I was treated rudely by customer service representative in the Philippines.
