My Magic Jack call quality is mediocre, but that is in direct relationship to the quality of my internet connection. I use Comcast and where I live, it is either Comcast or Verizon. Comcast's internet quality is mediocre at best, and Verizon's Customer Service really sucks.

Where my daughter lives, she has really good cable internet. Her call quality with her Magic Jack is superb. But that is because she has really good internet quality. No choppiness. To determine if it was a matter of the quality of my Magic Jack, I took mine up to the Washington DC area, connected it to my daughter's pc, went through the set up process, and my mediocre call quality quality became really good. So the issue is directly related to the quality of the internet connection.

People need to understand that if their ISP quality is not stellar, the Magic Jack call quality will be mediocre or poor. If internet quality is good, then the Magic Jack call quality will be good. Of course, Magic Jack doesn’t tell you that in their advertising. Potential customers need to be aware… Magic Jack is not a good option if you do not have really good cable internet service. If you have really good cable internet service, then Magic Jack is a great option.
