UPS comes by but does not knock or ring door bell — result delayed delivery - IPAD 4th generation 64 wifi 4G

I have had two attempted deliveries of my IPAD. I was home both times. The first day a boc that did not need signature wazs plced firectly in front of the foor wahere it could be seen from the street. (A spot where the package could not be seen was 12 inches away to the left of the door.)
THe delivery man did not ring or knock either time. I was home both times. I did not leave home in case the dedlivery time was off.
Since I wax here both times and no delivery, I have no faith that Monday will be better... Then the package gets returned.
