False advertising

I bought a coat and a jersey for my child. I was handed a flyer when I came in the door that stated that all outerwear over $50 was entitled to a $10 coupon that was attached to the flyer. The jersey had a sign on the rack that these were included in the ad. I took my purchase to the register and the Kmart employee couldn't get the coupon to scan. She went to the manager across the store and she said the manager told her any coat ending in. 99 or. 98 did not apply for the coupon. I paid for these items but I was furious when I left.

I pulled up the ad on the internet and they had several coats ending in. 99 that were part of the discount. What' the deal. Even the lady who waited on me said she had not been told about this so called exception to the rule. This ad ended at noon today.
