Merry Maids - will merrily get you a contract and rip you off

I'm a former employee of Merry Maids I can attest that the complaints you are reading on here are not surprising. This company cares nothing about the customers and will do whatever it can to charge a $100 per week cleaning and up. If you have an apartment, I can all but guarantee you are being excessively over-charged. They start at $100 a week for small apartments, the same amount they charge for large, really dirty houses. They'll put on a good show if they think they're going to lose a customer, but they care nothing about you. If you want to know why you sometimes get a bad cleaning, its' probably because your cleaner is overworked. They make is sound like your are the only client that day when there are at least two more in an 8-hour period. It might also be that your cleaner was tired of being brow-beaten that day. They treat the employees terribly. Do not ever sign a service agreement with these crooks, unless you have a disclaimer in there that you can cancel for poor work. Otherwise, you can complain all you want, and they'll keep sending out people to redo the work, but you are going to pay a lot of money to keep a contract. Most people do not even need a cleaning service, especially one that is a rip off. Don't waste your time and money with Merry Maids.
