Loss of trade in value on new 2011 rav4

Hi I took my 2011 toyota rav4 in for a trade in. I was going to buy a better gas mileage car. They told me that my rav4 is now worth $13,000.00 less then when I bought it in 2011. I still owe $24,500.00. It is very good condition and only 15k miles.

How does a car loose that much in value in one year? I called the main company and they said they had no idea why. They should do a recall on these vehicles or at least let someone trade to get out from under it. This is a total ripoff and tell all your friends that have a rav4 or are going to buy one to check the kkb for the real value. I will never be able to sell this suv. I am 100% disabled and a veteran, and this will ruin my chances for ever buying a new vehicle. Thanks for listening and spread the word. This information should be on every toyota web site.
