C.A.R. S Complete Automotive Repair Service
VERY dishonest business practice. Rip-off!

I had a starter motor fail and went to a national chain service repair shop. The mechanic contacted C.A.R.S. And verified the policy was in force and the part was covered. The shop did the work and I paid $480.

I called C.A.R.S. For information on how to receive reimbursement, and they denied my claim because the mechanic was not given (did not specifically ask for) an authorization number, even though they had record of the mechanic calling once and me calling once to discuss their maximum per-hour labor charges ($40).

Seems like a fair company would honor the claim, but no. Without an 'authorization number' my contract with C.A.R.S. Is basically just toilet paper. AVOID this company!
