Rip off

Hello,
My name is Beau and I own a 1991 Nissan Pathfinder 4x4. On a ski trip I slid off the road and my left front tire hit the ditch pretty hard. I went to Sturgis Automotive to get my car aligned and they told me they couldn't do it because a radius arm was bent. They then told me that it would have to go to Walt's body shop in Sturgis to get this bent back into place so they could align it.

After my vehicle went to the body shop and was all straightened out I was told I needed a new spindle (steering knuckle) because mine was bent.

I purchased a used spindle and had Dave's Auto repair of Sturgis put this on for me. As of now it is in the process of being aligned and I have not been able to drive it for two weeks.

Anyway I think I have been ripped off because I have been charged $319.06 dollars by Sturgis Tire and Automotive.

I paid the bill for Walt's Body shop at Sturgis Tire and Walt's body shop charged me $147.00 to bend my radius arm back. When I went to pick my vehicle up at Sturgis Tire they presented me with a bill for the $319.06.

I specifically told Sturgis Tire when they said they could not align my vehicle that I wanted just the radius arm bent and no alignment of any kind made by them.

Sturgis Tire told me that they tried to bend the radius arms themselves, which I did not tell them to do and they tore a bunch of things apart to look at to see what was wrong which I did not tell them to do at all.

They stated to me over the phone that it took them well over 2 hours to find out they could not align my car. The only work that was even worth paying for was only in the amount of $147.00 from Walt's body shop.

My bill stated $195.00 for frame bending, (frame was not bent at all as stated by Walt's body shop) $100.00 for Labor Repairs, and $6.00 for shop supplies.

I am not a dummy when it comes to mechanics since I have worked on cars a-lot myself and I know mechanics try to rip people off.

The only reason I brought my vehicle to Sturgis Tire was because they were the only people who could align my car in town at the moment.

I am going to a Technical School and I need my transportation to get to school and I also do not have a lot of money to be spending on dumb mechanics that have nothing better to do than try to rip people off.

I would like justice to be done and I know the Sturgis Tire and Automotive establishment are a bunch of crooks. I would appreciate a reply and thank you for your help.
