Quoted $4233 for $600 worth of Repairs. What a scam!

I sent my 19 year old daughter in to get a quote on brakes. George the franchise owner evaluated brakes and came back with $4,233 quote.

He advised my daughter and me to be cautious in driving it because it was very dangerous. Brakes failing. Wheel Cylinder leaking, leaking water pump, tires dry rotting, bad joints, bad bushings, bad bearings. We asked for it to have wheels put back on so we could think about it.

We had second opinion by a certified mechanic. He found, no bad bearings, brakes only half as bad, wheel cylinders not leaking, no water pump leaks, no bad bearings. He fixed the car for less than $600 and it works fine.

ALSO: Mechanic found right front tire not tightened down and wobbling greatly. MIDAS had not put it back together correctly. Left a lug nut off driver front tire. TOTAL NEGLIGENCE.

This shop preys on unknowing customers. I talked with Midas national who put me in contact with Andy Pomeroy 206-271-9591 their regional manager. He stood by his guy and basically said he knew he would win in court. No apologies. No nothing. This shop not only preys for money but puts the cars back together in negligent ways that can cause great physical danger to occupants. Please do something about it.
