Ripoff, deceptively described item on ebay

Cars & Transport

Listed a 1978 International Scout II on ebay and described it as needing only a bouple of small things to be completely restored.

Once I go the vehicle to a mechanic, he told me that the vehicle would need to be sand-blasted and undercoated before ANY work would be worth doing. It is completly rusted underneath. The bushings are so rotted that an alignment is impossible. Needs at least 10 hours of labor just to do a brake job and alignment.

Vehicle listed as mostly restored. Based on that I spent $4,500. Oo for a vehicle that will need thousands just to get to the level described in the ad.

Refused to resolve in an amicable way. Or to refund some money to offset costs of work needed.
